"CRAFT & DRAFT" FUNDRAISER AT INDUSTRIAL ARTS BREWING CO.

HOSTED BY THE FRIENDS OF ROSE MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Join us for a fun evening of crafting while sipping on local hand-crafted beverages at Industrial Arts Brewing Company! Your ticket is good for the craft (all materials and instruction provided), 1 beer or wine, and a raffle ticket for a fabulous door prize donated by a local business. Enjoy live music and the menu from Hudson’s Mill as you craft and sip. All proceeds benefit the Library. DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY – "TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT"

Monday, April 17, 1pm – 3pm (Rain date Monday, April 24)

Join us to learn a few fundamentals of photography and how your digital camera works. You can bring any kind of digital camera, from the latest DSLR to a point & shoot, or even your smart phone! This program takes place outdoors – meet under the pavilion at Vincent Clark Park (Beach Rd. in Stony Point). We will spend the first half hour learning about how cameras work and what makes a good photograph. Then we will wander the park for a photo scavenger hunt and finally come back together and share photos!

NATURE FORAGING WALK

Join us for a leisurely stroll in Rockland County and get to know the local flora and fauna of the area.

We will explore medicinal, culinary and other uses of what’s growing in our backyard! Bring water, wear appropriate clothing/footwear and bring bug spray. The location will be confirmed closer to the date and emailed to those registered.

HERBAL ARTS WORKSHOPS

This series explores herbs for your health, wellness and just enjoyment! Learn the art and science of plants and various herbal preparations you can make at home. We may sample some mixtures.

TAI CHI

Join us for morning Tai Chi with Mark Breithaupt. All levels are welcome. Start your day off with breath and movement – mindfulness for both body and mind. Please dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat for meditation/relaxation at the end.

CHAIR YOGA

Lonnie June leads this chair yoga course for adults/seniors. Yoga is for everybody, and may be especially beneficial for beginners, seniors or those recovering from injuries. Build strength and balance. Donations are appreciated. We are happy to offer more classes this April!

This 45 minute outdoor program uses music to aid in childhood development. It’s well known that introducing music early helps cognitive development, social, emotional and motor skills as well as language development. Not to mention bonding time with family, and we think that’s the most important part! Registration is limited to Rose Memorial Library cardholders. Please plan to attend all sessions. Registration opens April 3.

FUN WITH PLAY DOUGH

Have fun rolling and shaping Play Dough and then decorating your creation with colorful pipe cleaners and sticks. For preschoolers with caregiver. Registration opens April 10.
