Library Computers
The library offers seven desktop computers with color printing capability and three laptops for in-house use. All computers and laptops are Microsoft Windows operating system and include Microsoft Office software. Software applications include Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. Printing is available for $0.15 for black and white and $0.50 for color.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Bring your laptop or handheld device. Printing is not available through Wi-Fi at this time.
Book a Librarian
Do you need one-on-one help with your computer? Are you afraid of going to a class and feeling overwhelmed? Do you have a specific computer program or function that you want to learn? Do you need help downloading an e-book? Ready to join social media but not sure how? Book a Librarian! Contact Adult Services at 845-786-2100 ext. 13 to schedule a one-hour one-on-one appointment to help you with your computer needs. Bring your laptop, tablet, or handheld device. The library also has laptops you can borrow for in-house use.
Reader’s Advisory
Don’t know what to read or watch or listen! Call in, tell us your favorite author, genre or theme. Rose Memorial will recommend books (Reader’s Advisory), DVDs (Viewer’s Advisory) or CDs (Listener’s Advisory).
Copying/Faxing/Scanning
Black and white copying is available at $0.15 per page. Color copying is not available. Faxing is available at $1 per page excluding cover sheet. The library can provide you with a cover sheet. Scanning is available for free. USB flash drives are available for sale at the front desk for $5.
Notary Services
Notary services are available. Just call ahead for a same-day appointment.
Displays
The Rose Memorial Library welcomes not-for-profit groups and individuals to set up exhibits and displays of educational, cultural, or community interest. The Friends of the Library Display Case and other display areas in the Library may be used to exhibit art, handiwork, collections of unique, interesting, or historically significant items, or other materials for display. Anyone wishing to display their collection must fill out the Request to Exhibit or Display Form and Indemnification Agreement. If you are interested in displaying your items contact the Director at 845-786-2100 ext. 10 or ameacham@rcls.org for more information.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan is available for patrons to borrow materials from other libraries. Librarians have many options for getting the materials you need. We can borrow materials from libraries throughout southeastern New York State. Click here to access the Gateway for Library Catalogs in Southeastern New York.
Exam Proctoring
Exam proctoring is available. Exams must be scheduled in advance with the Adult Services Librarian. To schedule an exam please contact Adult Services at or 845-786-2100 ext. 13.
