Poetry month is one of our favorites and here are some ways you can celebrate! Grab a title off our poetry book display and read something off the beaten path. Sign up for our featured program, Black Out Poetry Workshop (Wednesday, April 23 at 2 pm), and learn how to make unique art that doubles as a poem! Attend a special screening of the documentary Poetry In Motion (Friday, April 11 at 6 pm). Called the "Woodstock" of poetry this anthology features great American poets who sing, chant, and do anything but "read" their work. An energetic demonstration proving that the art form is alive and thriving in this media-blitzed age. Book BindingMonday, April 21, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm Join us to create a small art book or journal using just one sheet of paper. Diffuser NecklaceWednesday, April 16, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm Create a small clay necklace using air dry terracotta clay. Once it is dry, you can use your choice of essential oils like lavender or citrus for aromatherapy. 
Painting SeriesInstructor-led painting classes – open to beginners and beyond! This series is very popular so please register early to hold your spot. 
Herbal ArtsLearn how to use herbs and plants to improve your overall wellness. We will discuss general health, diet, exercise & sleep, as well as herbal & supplemental support. Make your own aromatherapy candles with essential oils, poured into shells.

Teen/Tween Night Out!Friday, April 25, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm Don’t miss our April teen/tween hangout! As always we’ll be doing a spectacular craft you can take home, enjoying some pizza, music, and much needed down time with friends! Craft project will be announced soon. 
Kids & FamilyKids will love our surprise bunny take-home craft as well as an egg hunt and yummy treats! Program is for ages 2.5 -5. Bunny supplies limited – registration required. Stories, music, shakers, bubbles and fun! Join us for a free explore program at the park with fun sensory/ messy activities. Proper outdoor play clothing recommended. Close adult supervision required. Program is weather permitting. Zumbini with Tina combines music, dance and educational tools for 45 minutes of can’t-stop, won’t-stop bonding, learning and fun. The perfect opportunity to round out your card collection, discard duplicates, and meet up with other Pokémon fans. No cards to swap? Come anyway and complete some Pokémon themed activities . Practice motor skills by squeezing, cutting, and rolling out play dough shapes. Top off with silly decorations. Save the date!
Our Summer Reading kickoff event will be held Sunday, June 22 from 12-4 pm at Charles Eccher Park. This year’s theme is Color Your World! This annual festival will once again feature a great selection of live entertainment, activities for all ages, food trucks, and a pop-up market for local vendors.
